The Los Angeles Dodgers have reportedly acquired shortstop Jimmy Rollins from the Philadelphia Phillies. Rollins, 36, is a great defender with above average offense. Rollins hit .243 last season with 17 home runs, 55 RBI, a .323 OBP, and 28 stolen bases. Rollins’ 3.9 WAR last season was 3rd among shortstops behind Jhonny Peralta and Troy Tulowitzki. Rollins is expected to be the Dodgers starting shortstop next season. The return to Philadelphia is unknown at this time. A third team could be involved in the trade and the Phillies have been looking for young pitching according to Ken Rosenthal.
