4. Kyle Zimmer- Zimmer has all the tools to be a number one or two pitcher at the major league level, if he could just stay healthy. In 2014 Zimmer returned from Tommy John Surgery to pitch four innings and then was sent to the Arizona Fall League. In the Fall League, he injured his throwing shoulder and it will require surgery. All I can say is that it is a tragedy that Zimmer hasn’t stayed healthy. Zimmer has a mid-90’s fastball which has fantastic downward angle. His curveball, slider and changeup are all plus or have the potential to be plus pitches. If that wasn’t impressive enough then he’s also has plus control over these pitches. It frustrates me to think what Zimmer would be if he only had the ability to stay healthy.
