Cubs to Acquire Dexter Fowler

It appears that the Chicago Cubs have made a deal with the Houston Astros to acquire outfielder Dexter Fowler, per Bruce Levine.

Fowler, 28, is expected to be a key veteran in a lineup that has a lot of young prospects. Former Oakland Athletics starter Dan Straily will head to the Astros as part of the deal, according to Susan Slusser.

The Cubs outfield is now pretty full, with rookie sensation Jorge Soler, Junior Lake and Chris Coghlan.

Infielder Luis Valbuena will also be headed to the Astros in the deal.
