What Options Do The Cardinals Have At First Base?

Matt Adams, the St. Louis Cardinals everyday first baseman, was placed on the 15-day DL Wednesday. Adams has a severe quad injury and will be out for 3-4 months, and possibly the whole season. Although Adams was disappointing this season with a very modest .243/.281/.375 and only four home runs, the Cardinals are now looking at their options to take Adams’ place. Below is a list of options available to manager Mike Matheny and general manager John Mozeliak for their replacement first baseman.
