Mets acquire Addison Reed from DBacks

According to Adam Rubin of ESPN, the New York Mets have acquired reliever Addison Reed from the Diamondbacks to help sure up their bullpen. Reed cleared waivers making him available in any deal.

Reed, 26, is having a rough year posting a 4.20 ERA, 3.12 FIP in 40 2/3 innings pitched while striking out 34 and walking 14. He spent time in Triple-A Reno posting a 1.74 ERA, 4.18 FIP in 10 innings, but was recently called back up. Reed also struggled in 2014 posting a 4.25 ERA, 4.03 FIP in 59 1/3 innings pitched.
