The “TR” Logo: 1983
For one season only, 1983, the Rangers went with a new approach, a new secondary logo and a new color to the uniforms. While they were short lived, it was not too shabby a look for Texas.
Both the home and road jerseys were button downs. As the roads went from powder blue to blue, the Rangers looked better with the darker hue. Both the home and away jerseys featured the “TR” logo inside the Texas outline. Both jerseys had pretty clean designs on the back.
The road all blue hat featured the red with white outline “T” in the thin serif font.
