Another free agent domino has fallen as one of the big-name outfielders has made a decision. Jason Heyward has agreed to a deal with the Chicago Cubs.
Over much speculation, Heyward chose the Cubs over rumored teams like the St. Louis Cardinals, Washington Nationals, and Los Angeles Angels.
It is the second former Cardinal player that the Cubs have pried away from their division rival, on top of ending their season a year ago. The Cubs-Cardinals rivalry is only heating up.
Heyward is 26 years old and joins a young roster that is continuing to load up on talent. The Vegas favorites appear to be all in on another October run, and ending the long over due World Series drought on the North side of Chicago.
