As the eighties turned out to be a successful period for the ball club, there was little diversity to the uniforms compared to the previous decade.

There was absolutely no change made to the home white uniforms. It remained a pullover with no change to the sleeve patch. Why fix something that was not broken?

The road jersey went to a solid blue top. The circle “Cubs” logo was on the left chest. The back player name and number was red with a white outline. I loved that look, it seemed relaxed but cool.

There was no change to the Cubs hat.
