Wild Card Races:
As our predictions stand, the National League will once more be a race between National League Central contenders the Pittsburgh Pirates and St. Louis Cardinals, with the Washington Nationals and either the Los Angeles Dodgers or the Arizona Diamondbacks breathing down their necks.
In the American League, it projects to be the Houston Astros and the Boston Red Sox duking it out in the one-game playoff, with the Texas Rangers, New York Yankees, Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Indians in the mix.
What do you all think? Are we close? Are we way off? We’ll revisit these numbers later in the season, and we’ve saved the initial picks, so come October we’ll tell you which of our writers came the closest. Thanks to :
Alex Yalen, Matt Wojciak, Kyle O’Neill, Kyle Gehler, Jamey Vinnick, Josh Sadlock, Gabe Bogart, Ryan Witry and Adam Piede for participating (along with myself). Isn’t it time for baseball yet?
