Report: Jays, Donaldson agree to two-year extension

The Toronto Blue Jays and reigning American League Most Valuable Player Josh Donaldson have avoided arbitration and agreed to a two-year contract extension worth nearly $29 million.

Donaldson still has one more arbitration-eligible year in 2018.

In 158 games this season, Donaldson hit .297 to go along with 41 home runs and 123 RBIs.
