If you’re a normal person who will do normal person things tomorrow, disregard this post. If you’re a rabid baseball fan to the point where your fandom makes your friends look at you weird and makes you question your own sanity, this post is for you.

Of course, if you’re in that second category like me it means that you:

  1. Ponied up the full $110 for a yearlong MLB.TV subscription
  2. Have access to cable TV (namely ESPN)
  3. Are calling in sick tomorrow or planning on sneaking in looks of the games at your school/work

However, it’s easy to get overwhelmed by all the wonderful baseball viewing choices you have after a long winter of nothingness and end up taking too long to decide on one to watch, switching back and forth too often, or yelling at your computer while the MLB.TV split screen buffers. Sometimes, that can even ruin one of the most wonderful days of the year.

Opening Day also offers a stockpile of pitching matchups that is virtually unmatched until the playoffs, thanks to the old tradition of a team crowning its ace by trotting him out there on the first day of the season. It may be the cherry on top, but it can also add to many fans’ frustrations as they try to decide on a game to watch.

Luckily for those fans, I’ve prepared a list of must-watch matchups that should take you from the first pitch of the day to the last and help ease your decision-making. So without further ado, here’s the official Baseball Essential 2016 Opening Day Viewer’s Guide.

Excellent reporting. (It is tough to read an article when there is a video playing in the upper right corner.) Thank you.
