For the first time since 1970, the Baltimore Orioles are off to a 5-0 start. After a much-maligned, complicated offseason, the Orioles are the league’s final undefeated team. So far, the Birds have outscored their opponents 22-10 and have out-homered them 8-4. The starting rotation has done its job, and the bullpen has been nearly unhittable.

The winning streak will come to an end eventually — possibly today against David Price in Boston — but there are quite a few things that can be gleaned from the team’s performance in the early going. Here are the five biggest things we’ve learned after the first week of the season.
