20-year-old Cuban right-handed pitching prospect Vladimir Gutierrez will throw for the Los Angeles Dodgers brass tomorrow in a private workout at the LA stadium, an industry source said.

At his showcase in mid-March, Gutierrez was clocked in the mid 90’s, according to Jesse Sanchez of MLB.com.

Ben Badler of Baseball America referred to Gutierrez as the “biggest wild card” and that he had “the best curveball of any pitcher” that he’s seen in Cuba in the last few years.

The Dodgers’ interest in Gutierrez is well documented, as Badler reported that the Dodgers had a “strong presence” at his showcase.

Other teams that have reportedly shown interest in Gutierrez are the Atlanta Braves, Chicago Cubs, Houston Astros, Kansas City Royals, San Diego Padres and St. Louis Cardinals.
