You have your Trout’s, your Miggy’s, and your Bautista’s. Guys who absolutely deserve to be in Minneapolis on July 15th, and deserving of starting in the All-Star game. But, the roster does not just cater to the starting 9, as All-Star rosters expand to 34 players, meaning if you had yourself a good first 85-90 games or so, you have a pretty fair shot at an All-Star selection.
Like I said, you have your stars, the people who command the spotlight and receive the attention from the media, while some other guys are quietly having spectacular seasons.
