Sleeper Candidates for the American League All-Star team

You have your Trout’s, your Miggy’s, and your Bautista’s. Guys who absolutely deserve to be in Minneapolis on July 15th, and deserving of starting in the All-Star game. But, the roster does not just cater to the starting 9, as All-Star rosters expand to 34 players, meaning if you had yourself a good first 85-90 games or so, you have a pretty fair shot at an All-Star selection.

Like I said, you have your stars, the people who command the spotlight and receive the attention from the media, while some other guys are quietly having spectacular seasons. Who are some of these sleeper candidates to sneak onto the AL’s All-Star squad at the 85th Major League Baseball All-Star Game? Let’s begin with a catcher, shall we?
