The New York Mets have talked to the Colorado Rockies regarding four-time All-Star shortstop Troy Tulowitzki, according to Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports.
Mets aren’t done. They’ve talked with the Rockies about Troy Tulowitzki, sources tell Y! Sports. Fear they can’t afford, but talking still.

After locking up Michael Cuddyer for two years, it seems like that may have been bait to reel in Tulowitzki, seeing as the two had a very close relationship on and off the field.
Tulowitzki is slated to make $114 million over the next six seasons with a $15 million team option for 2021.
Later, Jon Heyman from CBS reported that he is NOT hearing of any significant talks with the Mets on Tulowitzki. However, we should not count the Mets out of the situation. It is a very likely possibility.
