Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports hears that Hanley Ramirez is on the Boston Red Sox‘s radar. His willingness to play LF, SS or 3B adds to his appeal. Ramirez could be an alternative to Pablo Sandoval if the Red Sox are not able to pull him in.

In 157 games in 2014, Sandoval had a .279 average with 16 home runs and 73 RBIs. Ramirez, however, posted similar numbers with less games played with a .289 average, 13 home runs and 71 RBIs with the Dodgers.
