The Boston Red Sox are willing to offer a 6-year deal to Jon Lester, according to Gordon Edes of ESPN Boston.
I know how hard this is to believe but a well-placed source predicted that Red Sox will re-sign Lester, and may go up to 6 yrs to do so

Lester, who was dealt to the Oakland Athletics at the trade deadline in exchange for Yoenis Cespedes, went 16-11 with a 2.46 ERA with 9.0 K/9 and 2.0 BB/9 in 219 2/3 innings this past season.
Lester was an huge part of Boston’s 2007 and 2013 championships, but as reported by the Providence Journal, it could take a six-year deal worth around $120 million to take him off the open market.
