Korean club accepts Padres’ $2M bid for Kwang-Hyun Kim

The San Diego Padres are a step closer to acquiring 26-year-old Korean left-handed pitcher Kwang-Hyun Kim.

Kim went 13-9 with a 3.33 ERA for his team in the Korean Baseball Organization in 2014. The lefty was one of the most dominant pitchers in the league at the age of 23 prior to suffering a stroke. He is looking to get back on track.

The Padres have 30 days to negotiation a final deal.
