The Alamodome will involve Major League Baseball for a third consecutive spring when the Los Angeles Dodgers head to San Antonio to take on the Texas Rangers for a pair of exhibition games March 20-21.
The Rangers have played exhibition contests at the Alamodome in each of the last two seasons. Nolan Ryan is very happy to have this occurring again this year.
“We’re excited about this matchup,” Ryan told Jon Weisman from MLB.com. “The Dodgers are one of the most successful franchises in baseball with some good, young players. For fans in San Antonio and all over the state, it’s a great opportunity to see play them since there is not a National League team in Texas anymore.”
“Playing in the Alamodome should be quite an experience for our team and our fans,” Dodger president and CEO Stan Kasten said.
