The Baltimore Orioles have offered a contract to veteran right-hander A.J. Burnett, according to Jeff Passan of Yahoo! Sports.
Orioles also have offered SP A.J. Burnett a deal, though nothing is close there. Baltimore definitely in market for starting pitching.

The starter showed other teams of his desire to play for a team that is contending for a World Series after declining his $12.75-million option with the Philadelphia Phillies for next season. That is why Baltimore makes the most sense for the veteran.
The 16-year veteran struggled with the Phillies last season, posting a 4.59 ERA along with a 1.41 WHIP over 34 starts after signing a one-year deal in the off-season.
