Robert Murray of the MLB Daily Rumors reports that Billy Butler has agreed to sign with the Oakland Athletics for $30 million over three-years. $5 million of that money is from a signing bonus. Earlier, Devan Fink of the MLB Daily Rumors reported that the Athletics were close to an agreement with the designated hitter. That was later confirmed by Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal.

The 28-year-old hit .271 with 9 long balls and 66 RBI’s. It was a down year for the suppose to be slugger, but he is looking to regroup with another team and start fresh.
