MLB Rumors: White Sox looking at outfielder Melky Cabrera

It was reported by Jon Heyman of CBS Sports that the Chicago White Sox are likely to pursue outfielder Melky Cabrera.

After shipping Alejandro De Aza to the Baltimore Orioles, the White Sox have an open spot in left field, which is where Cabrera would naturally fit.

Cabrera rejected a $15.3-million qualifying offer from the Toronto Blue Jays earlier this offseason. He is reportedly seeking a $50-million deal this winter.

Cabrera is coming off of a hot 2014 season where he hit .301 with 16 home runs and 73 RBIs with the Blue Jays.
