On July 6th of this past season, the Arizona Diamondbacks and New York Yankees swapped struggling pitchers, Brandon McCarthy and Vidal Nuno. McCarthy, who started 18 games for the Diamondbacks, posted a 5.01 ERA, 109.2 IP, with a 3-10 record. When the right-hander played with the Yankees, he pitched unbelievably, posting a 2.89 ERA, 90.1 IP, with a 7-5 record. Since joining the Bronx Bombers, McCarthy has changed his approach, therefore, improving his game.

McCarthy, currently a free agent, will draw interest from many teams, furthermore, has only been linked to the Yankees for a possible return.

Other teams that could possibly be interested in the right-hander could be the Detroit Tigers, Boston Red Sox and the Cleveland Indians.
