New York Mets: Ranking the Top 10 Prospects

Michael Conforto – The Oregon State product was considered the best college hitter in the 2014 draft class. With that being well-known, the Mets made him the 10th overall pick and let him take most of the summer. He was sent to short season, Brooklyn Cyclones, for 42 games where he dominate the pitching. Power looks to be Conforto’s calling, as he has above average power with the chance to be a 20-25 home run guy every year. He might not hit .300 every year but .285 range is where I feel comfortable projecting him. Speed will not be a huge part of his game but if he has an opportunity he might take it. With an average arm and below average fielding ability, Conforto, is an average or below average fielder.
