Steven Matz – Matz had an absolute dominant year with a 2.24 ERA through 140 innings at single-A and AA. The Mets have yet again produced another pitcher who looks to be a three or four starter. Matz doesn’t have the dominant velocity as some of the other Mets pitchers, but has pretty good control. Right now his change-up is his only plus pitch and that could have attributed for his success at the low minor leagues. He has made strides on his curve this year, but needs a second plus pitch to be a solid MLB pitcher.
