New York Mets: Ranking the Top 10 Prospects

Dilson Herrera – The man known for his spectacular defense absolutely raked this year and got an unexpected call up to the show in 2014. At the major league level we saw flashes of brilliance at second base, which will most definitely be his home somewhere in the future. I like his approach at the plate, but since he is still a young hitter, he gets fooled once in a while. I would project him at around .260 with a chance for .270. Herrera is mostly going to be a player that will save you a lot of runs at second so the bat has to be average to keep him there 120+ games. His power is very interesting as it plays nicely at second base. 15 home runs might be his limit, but this still brings great value to him because of the power shortage at second base.
