Amed Rosario – The Mets spent $1.7 million on Rosario, which made him the highest paid international player in Mets history. So far he has proven that he is totally worth the money. As one of the youngest players in the New York-Penn League, Rosario played outstanding defense and hit the ball very well for his age. He has a nice fluid swing with potential to a have a nice line drive approach. His pitch recognition isn’t the best, but that will yet better with more time in the minors. Because Rosario is 6’2 and 170lbs, he still has time to grow into his body and may hit for at least 15 home runs per season. At only age 18, Rosario has the chance to become one of the best Mets prospects and maybe even the top 50 in baseball.
