4. SP Vince Velasquez- He might become better than Appel, but he isn’t as “safe” a bet. His fastball is impressive and he could be a top end starter. He had an injury that hurt him last year, but he came back strong and threw a solid 64 innings. He could end up in Houston for a trial run later this year, and if he succeeds become part of their rotation in 2016, but for now he needs some more seasoning. Grade: B+ Upside: Very solid number two starter.
