10. Trayce Thompson OF – Trayce Thompson was drafted in the 2nd round and was yet another high school pick out of Santa Margarita Catholic High School. Younger brother of NBA star Klay Thompson, Trayce, 23, has all the tools it takes to become an eventual five-tool player. While he’s never topped .280 in the minors, he’s still been able to put up 88 home runs and an OPS of .748 through 6 minor league seasons. After two full seasons in Birmingham, he should be ready to take the next step at Charlotte this year. A decent defender with a solid arm in center field, he will likely move to a corner outfield spot upon being called up. He projects to be an eventual fourth outfielder with a power bat once he is out of the minor leagues.
