3. Tyler Danish RHP – Drafted right out of Durant High School in Plant City, Florida, Danish, 20, has impressed at every level he’s performed at thus far. In 2013, Danish finished with a 1.20 ERA in 15 appearances (one start). He moved into a starting role in 2014 with the Kannapolis Intimidators, and didn’t disappoint. It took just 7 starts for him to be promoted to the Winston-Salem Dash. Overall in 2014, Danish compiled a 2.08 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, and 103 strikeouts in 25 games started. Danish has an extremely quick ¾ release, and uses a fastball, slider, and change-up. His slider mixed with his release has great movement, and his pitches are all pretty well-developed for his age. He could be a future mid-rotation starter, with potential #2 upside. Danish will likely start next season back in Winston-Salem, and could finish the year in Birmingham, or possibly Charlotte.
