7. Aaron Blair RHP: The next promising Dbacks pitcher is Aaron Blair, 6’2”, 155 lbs. Like Shipley, Blair is only 22 years old and has time to add muscle to his frame. Blair struggled in the California League, as most do, posting a 4.35 ERA and a 1.26 WHIP. While he doesn’t boast the huge arsenal other Dback prospects do, his fastball has great late movement, which should miss Major league bats. He also has a change-up and a slider, with the change-up being the better pitch. Although his stuff isn’t elite, his good control and command paired with good movement should play well as he continues to rise in the organization.
