2B Robert Refsnyder- Jose Pirela will get the first shot at the starting second baseman job, but if he fails, Refsnyder is next in line. Now he won’t have quite the impact Cano did when he came up in the middle of 2005, he could have a big impact. He’s 23 and impressed in college at Arizona before finding a ton of success in the Yankees organization. He will start 2015 at AAA, but he should bring his quick swing to the MLB sooner rather than later in 2015. He was an outfielder who moved to second and has adjusted nicely, but he needs more time to develop into at second. His best tool is his hitting. While e won’t hit for a ton of power, he sprays the ball.
Grade: B+ Potential: Above average, everyday second baseman who hits well.
