The Washington Nationals have reached an agreement with right-handed pitched Stephen Strasburg on a one-year, $7.4 million contract, avoiding arbitration. In 215 innings pitched for the Nationals last season, Strasburg pitched to a 14-11 record, along with a 3.14 ERA, 119 ERA+ and a 2.94 FIP in 34 games started. The Nationals also avoided arbitration with right-handed reliever Drew Storen, agreeing to a one-year, $5.7 million deal. In 56 and 1/3 innings pitched for the Nationals last season, Storen pitched to a 2-1 record and eleven saves, along with a 1.12 ERA, 336 ERA+ and a 2.71 FIP in 65 games pitched out of the bullpen.

The Tampa Bay Rays have reached an agreement with outfielder Desmond Jennings on a one-year, $3.1 million deal, avoiding arbitration. In 542 plate appearances last season for the Rays, Jennings hit .244/.319/.378 with ten home runs and 36 runs batted in over 123 games played.

The San Francisco Giants have reached an agreement with right-handed pitcher Yusmeiro Petit on a one-year, $2.1 million contract, avoiding arbitration. In 117 innings pitched for the Giants last season, Petit pitched to a 5-5 record, along with a 3.69 ERA, 95 ERA+ and a 2.78 FIP in 39 games pitched (12 starts).

The San Diego Padres have reached an agreement with utility man Alexi Amarista on a two-year, $2.5 million deal, avoiding arbitration. In 466 plate appearances last season for the Padres, Amarista hit .239/.286/.314 with five home runs an 40 runs batted in over 148 games played.

The Chicago Cubs have reached an agreement with outfielder Chris Coghlan on a one-year, $2.505 million contract, avoiding arbitration. In 432 plate appearances last season for the Cubs, Coghlan hit .283/.352/.452 with nine home runs and 41 runs batted in over 125 games played. Cubs also avoided arbitration with catcher Welington Castillo, agreeing to a one-year, $2.1 million deal. In 417 plate appeances for the Cubs last season, Castillo slashed .237/.296/.389 with 13 home runs and 46 runs batted in over 110 games played.

The Arizona Diamondbacks have reached an agreement with right-handed pitcher Jeremy Hellickson on a one-year, $4.275 million deal. In 63 and 2/3 innings pitched with the Rays last season, Hellickson pitched to a 1-5 record, along with a 4.52 ERA, 82 ERA+ and a 4.15 FIP in 13 games started.

The Pittsburgh Pirates have reached an agreement with catcher Chris Stewart on a one-year, $1.225 million contract, avoiding arbitration. In 154 plate appearances last season with the Pirates, Stewart hit .294/.362/.331 with ten runs batted in over 49 games played.

The Miami Marlins have reached an agreement with right-handed reliever Aaron Crow on a one-year, $1.975 million deal, avoiding arbitration. In 59 innings pitched last season with Kansas City, Crow pitched to a 6-1 record and three saves, along with a 4.12 ERA, 97 ERA+ and a 5.40 FIP in 67 games pitched out of the bullpen.
