Power Rankings: Top 15 Second Basemen in ’15

2. Ian Kinsler (Detroit Tigers)

Plenty of fans in Texas were sad to see Ian Kinsler go, and now plenty more are. Ian Kinsler, along with Dustin Pedroia, and number 1 on this list, have been “the” second baseman in the MLB. Now they’re all just a few 30+ year olds who can’t hit the same amount of homers as before, so they are irrelevant right? Wrong.

Ian Kinsler only needed 17 HR to hit for his career high in RBI in 2014. Kinsler hit 30+ HR two times in Texas, but never topped 90 RBI’s. In 2014 he led all second baseman with 92 RBI.

Ian Kinsler has made the All-Star team four times: 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, and I expect him to make the All-Star team for the second time in a row, for the first time in his career.
