Power Rankings: Top 15 Second Basemen in ’15

10. Neil Walker (Pittsburg Pirates)

Walker is not the most attractive name that you will hear on this list. However, there should not be a single Pirate’s fan upset that Neil Walker is on their side. In 2014, Pittsburg’s second baseman was named a Silver Slugger for the first time in his career. His Offensive WAR of 3.9 was the highest of his career by 0.9.

Walker made his name know as one of the best power hitting second baseman the MLB has to offer. His 23 HR were tied for the highest mark in the league amongst second baseman and 76 RBI put him in the top 4. Walker’s .467 slugging percentage led all second baseman with at least 200 AB.

Neil Walker’s name means more now than it ever has, I expect his stock to slightly rise this season with his first All-Star appearance.
