8. Jason Kipnis (Cleveland Indians)
Jason Kipnis left a lot of Cleveland Indians’ fans this year saying, “I’m not mad at you, I’m just disappointed.” Kipnis’ name started to become known in 2012, but his true break-out year came in 2013. In his 2013 campaign, Kipnis was voted to his first all-star game and came in 11th place in AL MVP voting. I won’t list off all the stats, but what I will say is that in playing only 20 games fewer in 2014 than 2013, all of Kipnis; stats went way down.
So why is he ranked at 8? Because Kipnis is only 27, and he is too good not to bounce back. He had a bad year, and in 10 years, hopefully, it will be a distant memory for him.
Jason Kipnis may have been the biggest disappointment of the 2014 season, and I am expecting 2015 to be different.
