The Miami Marlins and Ichiro Suzuki have agreed to terms on a one-year deal according to Craig Mish of MLB Network Radio. The deal is set to be worth $2 million and does not include an option, according to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.

Ichiro gets $2M on marlins deal. Pretty accomplished 4th OF.

Ichiro will be the fourth outfielder in a young Marlins outfield and can lead guys like Marcell Ozuna and Christian Yelich. Ichiro is 156 hit short of joining the luxurious 3,000 hit club and hit .284 in 143 games with the New York Yankees last season.
This deal could hurt Ichiro a little bit though. He is in a outfield that seems set in stone unless any injuries happen and that could take some hit away from him. If he is able to get around 70 hits, his market could be interesting next year.
I wrote a couple weeks ago that this deal makes sense for both sides. Looks like I hit it right on the money. Hopefully both sides get what they want out of the deal.
