Report: Ted Lilly Charged With Insurance Fraud

Former major league pitcher Ted Lilly has been charged with insurance fraud, San Luis Obispo’s KSBY reported Thursday.

Lilly, who lives in Edna Valley in San Luis Obispo County in Californa pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to three separate charges. The charges were filed in the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney’s Office. All three charges involved vehicle insurance fraud.

Assistant District Attorney Lee Cunningham alleges the crimes happened in March of 2014.

If convicted, Lilly faces a maximum of five years in prison. He is scheduled back in court on Feb 5.

Lilly pitched in the major leagues for parts of 15 seasons with six teams. He had a career 130-113 record with 4.14 ERA.
