12. Oakland Athletics acquire Brett Lawrie from Toronto Blue Jays
In one of the more questionable moves of the 2014 off-season, the Oakland A’s traded third baseman Josh Donaldson to the Toronto Blue Jays. In return they received a package that included third baseman Brett Lawrie. Lawrie isn’t the flashiest of players, but is a solid infielder who is younger and cheaper than Donaldson.
