Grading The Chicago White Sox Offseason

Dan Jennings (Left-handed reliever) Traded from Miami.

Just a day after landing Robertson and Samardzija, the Sox pulled off another low-key move for lefty Dan Jennings, in exchange for failed starter Andre Rienzo.

Jennings is coming off of a sneaky good season, posting a 1.34 ERA in 40.1 innings after starting the season off in the minors. The 27-year-old is coming into just his second full season. Although he did post a low ERA, his 3.48 FIP suggests he wasn’t as effective as he appears. With multiple years of control left, this move can’t do them any harm.

This trade went mostly unnoticed after prior moves but Hahn may have stolen one, here.
