With Spring Training in full swing, I will begin taking a look at the biggest and hottest burning question for every team. Starting with the AL East, I will give you a team-by-team breakdown of some of the biggest questions that baseball fans were left asking after a busy offseason. So, buckle up, because there is a lot we still don’t know as we rapidly approach the 2015 season.
Last year, the Orioles won the AL East in runaway fashion. Their ascension to the top of arguably baseball’s toughest division took most of baseball by surprise. What do the Orioles need to do to keep pace with the big spenders in the Big Apple and Beantown? The Red Sox were a massive disappointment in 2014 following a World Series title in 2013. That World Series victory was sandwiched between two last place finishes. Have they done enough to address the holes in their roster? The Yankees are entering the first season of the post-Derek Jeter era, and are a team in disarray. Tampa Bay slid back below .500 for the first time since 2007. Their collective brain trust took a serious hit with the loss of manager Joe Maddon and GM Andrew Friedman. Toronto massively underachieved, but did post a winning record. Can the upswing continue?
I might not have all the answers, but I will do my best to help answer each team’s burning question.
