SEC Power Rankings: Week 2

3. LSU Tigers (4-0 Last Week, 7-1 Overall) blue

Top 25 Rank: #8

Weekend Series: vs. Princeton

It appears it may be in a bit of a rebuilding year for the Tigers. Of course, a rebuilding year for LSU may still mean winning the SEC West and making a run in the NCAA Tournament. Their biggest concern is their young pitching staff and replacing 2014 National Pitcher of the Year Aaron Nola. Sophomore lefty Jared Poche is a guy that will fill the ace role for the Tigers. The former Freshman All-American is 2-0 with a 1.54 ERA in two starts so far. Expect LSU to improve greatly as the season goes on as they shore up their young rotation. By the end of the year, they could easily be a contender for Omaha.
