2014 Stats: 142 games, 59 runs, 27 doubles, 35 home runs, 104 RBI, 0 steals, .263/.355/.517/.873

The heart of the Boston Red Sox, David Ortiz will be entering his 12th season on the team and the only player on the team with three championships in Boston. Every season he has been with the team he has hit over 20 home runs, with his highest total being 54 in 2006. He added another 35 last season. With no signs of slowing down, the Red Sox brass did everything in their power to help Ortiz in the lineup.

With the additions of Hanley Ramirez and Sandoval, plus a healthy Pedroia and Napoli, the Red Sox have one of the best one-through-sixes in the league – on paper. Ramirez will add protection to Ortiz, something he really hasn’t had since Adrian Gonzalez was traded away in 2012. Ortiz should have another solid year at the plate, barring no setbacks or injuries.
