Our friends over at the Cespedes Family BBQ tweeted about Clayton Kershaw‘s 27th birthday:

I thought I’d take a look at where he stands on a few other leaderboards. I used the same parameters as CFBBQ: starting pitchers, expansion era, minimum 1,000 innings pitched. I think I’ll just leave these screenshots with no comment, because Kershaw’s historic greatness pretty much speaks for itself. Obviously these are cherry-picked, but note that Roger Clemens is the only pitcher besides Kershaw who shows up on all six top-10 lists. (Edit: Forgot to mention, all these screenshots are, of course, from the immensely valuable Baseball Reference Play Index, which you should definitely subscribe to.)
Happy 27th birthday, Clayton Kershaw — you’re finally entering your prime!
