1. Taijuan Walker will win 2015 AL Rookie of the Year honors.
Walker has looked more than stellar all Spring for the Mariners. Walker has been carving up opposing Cactus League batters. In 6 starts, he went 3-0 with a 0.36 ERA that Google satellites are still trying to find. Add to that a 0.52 WHIP, 24 strikeouts in 25 innings at a surgical 6:1 K:BB ratio. I’m not saying he’s Clayton Kershaw, but he’s going to make any three or four game series really tough when lined up with Felix Hernandez, Hisashi Iwakuma, and fellow youngster James Paxton. Purely speculative numbers here, but I think he goes 13-8 with a 3.16 ERA and strikes out over 170 batters to take the AL rookie crown. I bet he also hits over the Mendoza Line in Interleague Play.
