Five Bold Predictions for the 2015 Miami Marlins

5. The Marlins will win at least 88 games, make the playoffs as a Wild Card.

After a pair of big offseasons for the San Diego Padres and the Chicago Cubs, many are ready to pencil either in for a Wild Card spot. However, what many overlook is the strength of the divisions in which each teams plays.

In the NL West, the Padres must face the strong Dodgers, who appear poised to finally make a run at the World Series, and the defending World Champion Giants.

In the NL Central, the Cubs are faced with the stout Pirates and Cardinals, both of whom have made the playoffs in 2013 and 2014, along with the above average Brewers.

Meanwhile in the East, the Marlins truly only have to face the Washington Nationals, leaving a clear path to second in the division, and possibly even the second wild card spot. This is a very good Marlins team, and it’s only getting started.
