Five Bold Predictions for the 2015 Detroit Tigers

2) Joe Nathan will be released by May.

Nathan just doesn’t have it anymore. He’ll get another chance because the Tigers still owe him a lot of money, but if he falters the Tigers will take away his closer role and at that point he’s pretty much useless. He can barely hit 90 on the gun anymore (I have seen him live) and he’s usually getting bombed. Nathan definitely had a great career but this just seems like a case of his skills being diminished.

I hope you just saw Simon pitch tonight! I think he will make it as a starter! 8 innings – 2 hits – no walks – shutout!
