Five Bold Predictions for the 2015 Detroit Tigers

5) The bullpen will improve.

Look, I know it doesn’t seem like they improved it, but how much worse could Joakim Soria’s debut have gone last year? Al Alburquerque is above average even though he can’t control his fastball well, and he had a pretty good 2014. Alex Wilson could come up at some point and be a contributor, and Bruce Rondon is back (hopefully) in mid-April and he can be a late innings guy when healthy. And we know Nathan is on a short leash, which could be addition by subtraction.  Don’t sleep on Angel Nesbitt either — he’s pretty solid. Some guys will level out to their career numbers and the Tigers honestly have a few talented arms down there this year. I’m not saying the bullpen will go from worst to first, but it might just not kill them this year.

I hope you just saw Simon pitch tonight! I think he will make it as a starter! 8 innings – 2 hits – no walks – shutout!
