According to Alex Pavlovic of CSN Bay Area, the Giants have activated right fielder Hunter Pence, as expected. Third string catcher Hector Sanchez has been optioned to Triple-A Sacramento.

In the third game against the Reds in Cincinnati, Pence is batting sixth behind Brandon Belt and Buster Posey.

Pence, 32, was recovering from a fractured left forearm that occurred during Spring Training. He rehabbed with Triple-A Sacramento for a week after missing the first month and a half of the season.
In 2014, Pence slashed .277/.332/.445 with 20 home runs, 123 wRC+, and a 4.6 fWAR. He helped the Giants win their third World Series in five seasons.
The Giants sit at 18-18, third in the National League West and 5.5 games out. In the Wild Card race they are 1.5 games back of the Nationals and Cubs.
Update:
Pence went 2 for 3 with a walk and three runs scored in his 2015 debut. He was taken out of the game in the sixth for rest as the Giants were leading by ten runs.
