Deal between #Braves and #Dodgers is done pending approval of commissioner’s office. Callaspo waived right to reject any trade before 6/15. — Ken Rosenthal (@Ken_Rosenthal) May 27, 2015
Earlier in the day Rosenthal stated that three minor leaguers and one major league pitcher, along with Callaspo, would be heading to Los Angeles, with Uribe and one minor leaguer heading to Atlanta. Time will tell if the details have changed.
Uribe is making $6.5 million this season in the final year of a two-year, $15 million deal. This deal will give Alex Guerrero a full time job at third base while Justin Turner will continue being the super-utility infielder.Uribe was slashing .247/.287/.309 with one homer.
Callaspo, 32, slashed .206/.293/.252 with Atlanta this season in 123 plate appearances. He is making $3 million this season.
We will update when more details come out.
